Committed to eradicate hunger among school children in Kenya

Introduction
Mission and Vision
Impact
  1. Daily School Meals: We partner with schools to provide daily nutritious meals to students, ensuring they receive the essential nutrients required for their growth and learning.

  2. Breakfast Clubs: Early morning meals are offered to students, particularly targeting those from low-income families, to ensure they start their day with the energy needed for learning.

  3. Weekend Meal Packs: To address food insecurity beyond school hours, we distribute meal packs to students to take home over the weekends, ensuring consistent nutrition.

  4. Nutrition Education: We offer educational programs within schools to teach children about healthy eating habits, food groups, and the importance of a balanced diet.

  5. School Gardens: By establishing and maintaining school gardens, we provide hands-on learning opportunities about agriculture, nutrition, and sustainability, while supplementing school meals with fresh produce.

  6. Community Kitchen: Community kitchens are essential community assets that provide much more than meals. They are places of learning, connection, and support. By bringing people together around food, they help build stronger, more resilient communities. Through continued support and engagement, community kitchens can thrive and continue to benefit those they serve.

Feed the Nation Child is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) committed to eradicating hunger among school children in Kenya. Since our founding in 2024, we are focused on providing nutritious meals to students, ensuring they have the energy and health to thrive academically and physically. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow without the hindrance of hunger. Through our partnership with affiliated sites around the world, we provide meals to school children so they can attend school, receive an education and can succeed.

Programs and Initiatives

Since the inception of our school-focused feeding programs, Feed the Nation Child is expecting to:

  • Provided over 5 million school meals annually, reaching thousands of children.

  • Established breakfast clubs in over 200 schools, ensuring a healthy start to the day for countless students.

  • Distributed over 100,000 weekend meal packs, reducing weekend hunger for students.

  • Conducted nutrition education sessions for over 50,000 students, promoting lifelong healthy eating habits.

  • Developed over 100 school gardens, enhancing both nutrition and education.

  • Mission: To alleviate hunger and improve nutrition among school children through comprehensive feeding programs, promoting better educational outcomes and overall well-being.

  • Vision: A future where no child goes to school hungry, and every student has the nutritional foundation to achieve their full potential.
